Sailing KopeliaOur boat. Our home. Our story.

Whitby 42 · Hull No. 5 · First launched 1973

A home built
by hand.
A life afloat.

We’re Greg and Kimber. After four years rebuilding Kopelia, we’re getting ready to make her our full-time home. This is our boat, our story, and the journey ahead.

The stories behind the journey

Made personal.
Every step of the way.

A mushroom in a cabinet. A dinghy built in a garage. A lifetime of learning on the water.

The next chapter

First, make ourselves
at home.

Our plan is to move aboard at the end of October 2026. A month or so along Florida’s Gulf Coast, then south to the Keys and onward toward the Bahamas.

The route is a plan, with room for weather, readiness, and life along the way.

Knowing the boat

A lasting home for
what we’ve learned.

Greg installed every system aboard. Developing Kopelia’s CVMS with Norm is our way of giving that knowledge an organized home, beyond one person’s memory.
